GWU: Department Organization, Training, and Development

When I first started as an Instructional designer, there was no formal handbook about our team, our process, or our resources. I created the following handbook as a guide for all new hires.

Additionally, I created an onboarding handbook for new hires, as much of the information was hand-written or left out when I was first brought on.

When Covid suddenly forced our university to go fully online, we all pitched in to help faculty move face-to-face courses online. Serving as the interim manager, my team was in charge of leading the training for our entire library staff. This training was to teach the staff how to use our LMS and prepare to answer calls from faculty. Below are some of the materials we offered during the virtual training sessions.
